一筷子到重庆 · One bite and you're in Chongqing
Fresh ingredients, bold Sichuan flavour and 7 broths to choose from. Every pot holds two — so spicy fans and mild eaters share one table. 5 halal broths, 4 vegan broths. Set meals from just £20.

In Chongqing, hot pot is how friends celebrate — a bubbling pot in the middle of the table and everyone cooking together. Since 2018 we've brought that real taste to Wollaton Road, with broths slow-cooked in-house and ingredients prepared fresh every day.

Our split pot holds two different broths side by side. Chilli lovers, mild eaters, meat lovers and vegans can all share the same table — and the same pot. Try it: pick a broth for each side.
The first three broths are spicy; the other four have no chilli at all. “Included” means no extra charge in a set meal.
No experience needed. Hot pot is a meal you cook at the table — fun, relaxed and made for sharing. Here's all you need to know.

Visit the sauce bar. Sesame oil with garlic and coriander is the Chongqing classic. Peanut-sesame paste is great for beginners.

Potato, lotus root, corn, tofu and meatballs go in first. They flavour the broth while they cook.

Hold thin beef or lamb in the broth with chopsticks for 10–15 seconds, until no pink remains. Perfectly tender.

Dip and enjoy. Finish with noodles cooked in the rich broth — the best part, according to locals.
Our staff's favourite Chongqing oil dip — it cools the chilli and lifts every bite:

Food safety: always cook meat and seafood until fully cooked through, and use the serving chopsticks for raw ingredients. Meatballs are ready when they float.

Five of our seven broths are halal. Let us know when you order and our team will point out the halal meats to go with them.

Four vegan broths — two spicy, two not — plus more than 20 vegan vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, noodles and desserts.

From zero heat to properly numbing Sichuan fire. Start mild, then dare a spoon of our Chongqing beef-tallow mala.

Allergies or dietary needs? Please tell our staff before ordering. Vegan-labelled ingredients do not make a whole meal vegan — please choose a vegan broth and sauce too.
